Hello,

My name is Durwin Banks and I am the owner of High Barn Oils, suppliers of linseed oil from our family-owned farm in West Sussex. It was in the year 2000 that High Barn Oils was founded and today we supply linseed pods and culinary linseed oil direct to customers throughout the United Kingdom. A growing number of resellers, from health and well-being practitioners to beauticians are now ordering our linseed products too, but although the demand for High Barn Oils linseed has grown dramatically in the last eight years, I am pleased to say that little has changed on the farm itself. We remain a very hands-on family business, and enjoy making sure that our customers really do benefit from a genuine personal service.

Omega 3 can be obtained from fish oils also, of course, but linseed actually contains three times as much Omega 3 as fish oils is natural for us, and is also a strong source of Omega 6, Omega 9 and Vitamin E. In fact using linseed as a food ingredient can improve the function of all bodily systems. From pregnancy and infancy through to maturity and old age, linseed oil will help to sustain you as a healthy human being.

But what about the taste? The good news is that fresh linseed oil tastes great, our linseed pods and culinary oil have a smooth and slightly nutty taste. You will look forward to your daily helping of linseed, whether you use your pods with your morning fruit juice or add the culinary oil to your porridge or smoothies.

Hello Durwin,

I met you at the Farmers Market in Hove on Sunday and I bought the linseed pods. I've been taking various brands of Omega oils/capsules for a few months now without much change in my skin. I have to tell you that after 4 days of taking 3-4 linseed pods/ day, I can already see a difference - less intense wrinkles on my hands and neck area and softer skin. These are high quality. My diet is fairly good, also I'm a meditator and healer - so I'm in charge of my stress levels. I will certainly recommend these around.

Best Wishes for all your efforts to maintain high quality in foods.

Lynn

I have been here at High Barn Oils for over five years since the early days. My job is to run the office and keep our customers happy (as well as keeping Durwin in line!) The office has really evolved over that time.

My first experience with the use of Linseed was when I was a fresh faced sixteen year old (a distant memory). We used to boil the seeds up overnight into a big sticky mash for the racehorses to eat twice a week. The horses coats were so shiny and it really helped with their fitness. It used to be a nightmare to wash down the mash boiler later, so I am a huge advocate of the Linseed Oil for horses - far less messy and just as good! I use the oil myself and it keeps all the aches away from one too many falls from the horses over the years.
